Hi, everything's great
Greetings Tumblrs, this is Bea checking in since I haven’t posted in a while.
I remain a busy bee during the week. The newspaper seems to now be my full-time job, aside from going to school and working at the restaurant twice a week. I went to the gym this evening and I’m starting to enjoy that very much. My life seems to be in order as I continue my senior semesters.
I will be...

My sweetest summertime sensations

Plus one is the loneliest number
So this is me, trying to keep up with my blog. Lately (the past three weeks) I’ve been waking up to a daily routine of going to my two summer classes and practically do homework during the evenings.
The previous two Tuesdays of July have been production nights at the newspaper so I’ve also been taking care of my entertainment section.
I’ve only gone out two or three times...

Travel coma is making me weepy
And I’m back in the US of A. Currently laying on my very own comfortable bed. It’s so surreal to be back for some reason. I seem to have gotten lost in the paradise of Cancún and the NAHJ Convention in Orlando. After Orlando in Mexico, I had no phone, no Internet… I felt so disconnected from the world and what was happening but frankly, I don’t think anyone missed me as I...

B.Pope: The Blog: Mavs Take Down Thunder to Take... →
bpopeizdope:
Behind Sean Marion’s 18 points and Dirk Nowitzki’s late 4th quarter jumpers, The Dallas Mavericks shut down The Oklahoma City Thunder’s late rally of desperation to take a 2-1 series lead in the Western Conference Finals.
The game was never that close. The Thunder missed their first…
Summer Book List So Far...
This is my first Kindle-bought book by Tom Rachman and the story is based on an English-language newspaper in Rome. Clicking the picture will take you to the book review from The New York Times.
Another book by Chuck Klosterman, (this one I bought paperback) he is a great author and so far he has drenched me again with pop culture.

Mavericks stun Lakers with series sweep
Just when everyone thought Kobe Bryant would make an interesting last-game win, the Lakers completely blew it.
They are now eliminated! I could not be happier with this 4-0 win from the Mavs.
I am quite delighted for this epic win against the trashy Lakers, and I will share this video just because I am feeling very good for today’s outcome.

New Year's Resolution
Another year, gone. It’s quite delightful to say that we have made it this far as the years pass us by. I will be twenty-two this year and I am honestly very thankful that I have lived one more year.
Here is my attempt at ”New Year’s Resolution”:
Be healthy and join the gym once and for all/ Lose a few pounds...

A Little Bird Told Me...
Sweetest sensations pondering in my mind lately:
1. Road trip to Dallas
2. Thanksgiving with family
3. Waiting to hear if I got accepted to the Chips Quinn Scholars Program
4. Reading a book during Christmas break
5. Catching up with friends
6. Coffee and hot chocolate
7. Watch Christmas movies
8. Fall semester to be over.

It's Time to Shoot Some Hoops
So it has begun.
Basketball 2010 season has started and I could not be more excited. The UTEP Miners had their first sell-out game of the season last night and I had an amazing time watching the game and being entertained once more.
Last year I had the privilege of attending most of the home games and being able to sit in second row seats, was more than I could ask for.
This year, it’s...

First Sweet Sensation: Music in the Western World
I‘ve come across a sweet sensation topic in music. I signed up for a music class this semester called, Music in the Western World. It is a history of music in documents. It is the landmarks of music history. Music has been playing all around the world but the class’ focus is music as early as B.C.E. to the Medieval times and on to the Renaissance.
I have a substantial interest in this...
